Acadia National Park
Acadia National Park has some of the most beautiful night skies in the country, not because it’s remote (it’s not, relatively) but because so many of the surrounding communities observe best practices in preserving darkness. Stars and the Milky Way can be photographed from the park’s miles of rocky shore to the summit of Cadillac Mountain, the tallest peak on the U.S. Atlantic coast.
Prominent photography opportunities in Acadia National Park include: coastline, rustic settings, landscape, nature, coastal mountains, islands, birds, fall foliage, night skies.
