
Yellowstone National Park
Since the early days of its existence, Yellowstone National Park has been known for its wildlife, particularly its elk, bears and bison. In the past several years, the park has also become well known as an excellent destination for winter photography. In the cold months (when temperatures can routinely reach -20 degrees Fahrenheit), the wildlife congregates around the hot springs, where thinner snow cover allows for easier access to the grass below.
